I think I read that they were business associates in the early years but Trump distanced himself from him for some reason. The fact that his name isnā€™t on the island flight logs would indicate that there maybe some truth in that. Who fucking knows!
 
We only know that he isn't on the island flight logs. Doesn't mean he never visited the island.
I don't think he did personally, but who knows?

They were pretty close though. Quite a few times Trump flew in Epstein's plane. They spent time together. Trump is on record saying that he knew Epstein liked his girls young.

In 2002, in the New York magazine Trump confirmed he had know Epstein for 15 years. Starting their friendship in around 1988. They lived opposite each other. Epstein even claimed that he introduced Trump to Melania.

"Iā€™ve known Jeff for fifteen years. Terrific guy. Heā€™s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it - Jeffrey enjoys his social life."
