I love him as a player - to me, the very definition of a midfield general. The last player we had who fitted that description was IMHO Gary Mac

Sadly, I think he will depart in the summer. But if so, we were lucky to have him for three and a half seasons. Very similar to Spurs having Modric in their side for a few years, before his move to Madrid
 
I find it amazing that anyone should be criticising a player who has to be one of the finest midfielders in our history, even if he had never scored that goal. He has played almost continuously for the last year and really deserves a rest like the one Vardy got and which has clearly done him good. The grass is not necessarily greener in Madrid, for Modric it certainly was but for his compatriot Hazard it has been a disaster.

We should cherish every game he plays for us, and if Rodgers has any sense he should make him captain. And if that upsets the current incumbent, so be it.
 
We should cherish every minute that he’s with us. Just look at the goals he’s scored in the last two league games, and the range of his passing. The guy is world class.
 
If he does go it needs to be to a team where he plays on a regular basis - somewhere like Man City with continual rotation won’t suit him. His game suffers as soon as he misses a couple of games. As Rodgers has said he’s a rhythm player ... the more he plays the better he gets.

So glad you posted this vid, clearly the win meant everything to him and that says a fuck of a lot. Unimpeachable evidence he loves being at city but we need to be aware that no doubt he also loves the thought of playing in the CL, and has talent that deserves it too. If we don't make it and he leaves, bet there's tears in his eyes as well as ours. Mind you some fuckers on here don't deserve him. .
 
Make it happen just as much as holding on to Brendan
The future prospects depend on these people so we can rise to the expectations of our owners.
Just do your damnest to hold on to these.
