Leicester's Finest

Family - BURLESQUE and IN MY OWN TIME

Excellent tunes from an excellent 1972/73 era

Can anyone help tell this technology-challenged dinosaur how to post a video off You-Tube?

Sorry about the two empty posts. I'm not able to post videos at the moment - due to current settings.

Edit - worked using the phone.

Blew Third World off stage at the De Mont. Third World didn't even allow them a soundcheck so served 'em fucking right. Also a John Peel fave (as is this session) and played a few at Ronnie Scotts too. Never did get signed up by a record company, would have ranked alongside Aswad, Misty in Roots, Steel Pulse if they had. Anyone stll got the vinyl, if it's in good nick it's now worth a few bob.

Any one remember GYPSY from the early '70s ?. Caught them at the IL RONDO couple of times, think they were called LEGAY at some point.

I saw Gypsy at Il Rondo too, I'm sure I saw Legay at the Fosseway that used to be almost opposite to the old Thorn Lighting on Melton Road, they used to play there regularly.

Just down the road from me, used it quite a bit....A bit of trivia for you, thats where 2 local bands CHOICE (rock) and GOLDEN HAMMERS (r n' r) played regularly until joining together to form Showaddywaddy. The Fosseway is a Indian veggie restaurant these days called INDIGO.
