Leicester Again!!!!

Spreading like wildfire in London as well.

Should build a barricade around the M25 and block the fuckers in.

Although Saddick Khan would sprout some gibberish.

Only some of London, Dagnum is less than the UK average. Even Harborough is more than the average.

Doubt it would matter; compliance as reached its tipping point

19 patients in Leicester hospitals. 3 on ventilators.

Even an area far ahead of Leicester in the wave, Bolton - only has 42 inpatients with Covid and 11 on ventilators.

Can't see any excuse for extending beyond June 12th.

Closing down the airports and borders seems to work wonder why the government haven't done it? At the beginning of lock down last year when I looked at the arrivals at Heathrow they were flying in from countries that had it bad such as Italy and even from China!
They'd rather see piles of bodies than shut the fucking airports and you don't need to go to a red country just hang around an airport especially Heathrow and book your bed in covid ward.

The UK was reportedly full of Covid back in January, before anyone knew much about it. Closing borders is popular in far flung places, but with western European countries having far more cross border movement of goods and services, and acting as international travel hubs, this isn't as straightforward. Anyway, depending who you talk to, either millions have died unnecessarily, or no-one "extra" has died at all and the whole thing is all a hoax. There's stuff on t'interweb to "prove" every opinion out there.

Keeping close eye on the data it’s been fairly obvious what was coming .
Hospitalisations up about 15% in last 7 days . Thankfully most are surviving as patients are now mainly not fully vaccinated younger folks in their 30s and 40s requiring oxygen and seemingly mostly recovering .
Deaths and serious disease almost exclusively in older unvaccinated people .
Obviously, each of those approximately 1000 souls a week are taking up a bed which could have been allocated elsewhere , which is now the problem . If it were just the death rate in U.K. we could go back to normal tomorrow .
At current rate it will take about a month to give 2nd vaccination to the rest of the adult population and reach a point which should enable us to live with the level of infection and hospitalisations .
Undoubtedly opening up will be rightly delayed until schools break up .
Then we all pray this virus hasn’t got anything nastier up it’s sleeve .
It’s worth noting most European countries controlled their borders better and are largely free of the Delta variant and their infection rates are now lower than us . Well done Johnson ! Snatchers defeat from victory again .

It's also easier to control your borders when you're an island, like Australia or New Zealand, unless you have complete dickheads in charge.
