Ignoring the obvious benefits to mental health to be garnered from a cheap laugh, you really ought to read a post before responding. The UK isn't "far flung". And Australia and New Zealand aren't western European travel and commerce hubs. And I think if you look at current data, you'll see that a lot of countries that presumably don't "have complete dickheads in charge" now have far worse Covid mortality rates per capita than the UK.
