Most of the gig workers prefer to cycle at high speed dodging between pedestrians on pavements. They hardly ever use them.
For councils that are skint, they surely could use the money in a better way than trying to think every man and his dog wants to cycle into Leicester.

I tend to use a large bag like most cyclists and pick up things 3 times a week. Waterproofs when it rains and at 64 I’m not far off being a pensioner but probably far fitter thanks to cycling.

Anyway, anyone got any evidence of this scam yet? I would have thought the person making the statement might have come up with something. He's usually so erudite and insightful.

The one thing I learned from living next to a cycle lane for a number of years, in the city, was that a large % of cyclists are much more dangerous than the drivers. Going at top speed out of the lane and crashing into people... Old ladies/ people with pushchairs being particularly at risk.

They protested for years to get cycle lanes. Demonised car drivers as being selfish.

Have you got any evidence that there is any climate change? Any banks refusing mortgages to beach side properties? Has half of the flat lands disappeared yet? Anyone dying of heat exhaustion with all this? No, no there's not..

They don’t go faster than a pedal bike if you’re fit, top speed on a lime bike is 14.8 mph and 16.5 mph for any other electric bike.
Dangerous when cycled on a pavement which far too many do but the real danger are the scooters of which many seem to go well above 20mph.

Yes, I think we should ban all scooters, bikes and electric bikes, twenty miles an hour, that's way too fast for those people!!!!!! That's the national speed limit in Wales..

Well Hakkers a lot of electric bikes certainly appear to be going significantly faster than that and also their acceleration is faster than a standard bike.

They certainly appear to be from what I see in and around London.
 
No doubt there are some that would disagree with me but I believe a motorcycle is a motorcycle whether it’s powered by petroleum or electricity and therefore the same rules should apply. License (provisional), tax, insurance, speedometer and most importantly be registered and carry an identification plate so that they can be traced when they inevitably break motoring laws.

No, I don't do that and wouldn't expect people to just accept what they're told all the time.

As I've said before, I believe in evidence and science when it comes to issues such as climate change. The fact that 99% of experts around the planet, independents and all, say something is so is good enough for me.

I don't have the arrogance to believe that I know better than people that know better.

Not interested in scams what l am interested in the amount of pollution generated in Britian compared to those of counties l have alluded to in terms of percentages when we are put on course for Zero and what effect it will have economy
