It looks like tourist numbers are down big

Thailand no long requires a Visa for the Chinese. Still low numbers from China.

Vietnam is much cheaper.

Stay cations in China at all time highs.

Basically Thailand is no longer affordable. They are pricing themselves out.

I hope King Power has some stores in Vietnam.
 
These bloggers make money posting these videos but as the guy said he came to Thailand and SEA for a 3 week holiday which doesn’t make him qualified to comment or pass judgement its just his opinion. He doesn’t mention that China is in a bit of a financial downturn and the government there is actually making it difficult for Chinese to tour overseas they want to keep the money at home. Thailand like everywhere is for sure increasing in cost but compare the price of fuel or something globally used and you’ll see its still relatively cheaper than the UK for example.
 
I've been keeping tabs on the KP issue and see that they have withdrawn from three airports.
They requested, and were granted, three months grace from their Airports Authority commitments and that is now up. so crunch time has arrived.

If the forecast was 10 million Chinese tourists and year to date less than 3 million that is a big problem for KP

All the competing countries are up big year on year in terms of tourism.

The total forecast for tourism was 40 million and that number is possibly at 50% in reality.
