Brilliant character acting cameos from Brian Glover and Colin Welland. It was Glover’s first ever acting role as the comic,overbearing PE master. He had previously worked as a schoolteacher and also as a professional wrestler.
Welland’s role as the more sympathetic teacher Mr.Farthing was pitch perfect and earned him a BAFTA award.
