Not even the mighty Nostradamus could have predicted that Dirty Leeds, the Tractor Boys and us would all fail to score. Unsurprisingly therefore there wasn't a single spot on score in the 54 chances the 'expert' punters had.

Joint table toppers with a mighty point each are: BowdenFox, CharleyFarley, ClaphamFox, David_Nish, EMExile, J@CKLESTA and LGFox.

Everybody else is on the Eurovision vote for the crap British entry: nul points.

Is it the curse of the of the Kaypee compo? All of the top three suddenly seem hellbent on trying to finish third. Perhaps I should have included Southampton as promotion candidates after all? Unsurprisingly, as the vast majority of punters predicted wins for the front runners, correct forecasts were very scarce.

Round 2's soothsayer of the week is undoubtedly David_Nish who was the only person who didn't predict a City win (the disloyal bugger!) and on top of that he got the score spot on too. He leads the embryonic table and as the man in forecasting form is the one to catch.

At the outset of this little diversion I'd dismissed Southampton as having any chance of being a contender for a top three place. Just two games later and that's no longer the case. Given the totally crap performances of the top three and Southampton maintaining their form they are very much back in it. It is indeed a funny old game Brian. Our game against them on Tuesday and their game at Dirty Leeds on the last day now take on extra significance. Therefore, to acknowledge this fact and spice up the compo a bit more (6 more points to play for prediction pickers!) I'm including their two fixtures that weren't included previously for your fine-tuned forecasting free-thinking.
