Jon Anderson

My mate went down to San Diego to see him said it was fantastic. Same fan went to see Steve Howe's Yes (because Roger Dean was doing a traveling exhibit on the tour as well) and said they were dull as dishwater.

I had an evening meal with Robert Plant during the Cognac Blues passion festival back in 2015. I was teaching the Martell CEO at the time and got myself invited to the private meal. Great night - great concert too.

Got several yes albums, and still quite enjoy the odd play. But it can feel like a guilty pleasure, listening to such self indulgent wank…
Isn't all ART self indulgent wank?

I'd rather listen to yes than the gangsta rap around nowadays. Never really a fan of the vocals though. Love Wakeman's keyboard, just got no earthly connection on vinyl to listen to tomorrow.

I remember being in a bar in Queens in the 90s, and asking the barman why the tv was on the country and western channel.
“Well, it is shite,” he replied, “but it’s better than all that fucking n*gg*r shit!”
Hard to argue with that…
