Joe Aribo

A Saints mate in the pub told me this earlier. Aribo is shit. Contract expires in the summer and cannot get in their first team squad. He's on £60k a week so meets the Rudkin/Glover/Southampton criteria.
Fucking shambles.
 
According to Capology, Aribo indeed is on £70K/week.

The fifth highest paid player in the league, too, right behind Winks, Soumaré, R. Pereira and Daka. Followed closely by Vestergaard.

You can't make this stuff up. If this rumour is true it is almost as if some people are bound to destroy Leicester City football club.

So their other striker who sits on their bench is Archer. Ex Villa. He’s on £50k plus £10k a goal. One of my best mates has to go to his local Birmingham hospital once a month for a blood related procedure. The nurse who regularly looks after him is Archers mum. She’s told him loads of stuff. So yes Aribo is probably on £60k

Yes I'm sure she randomly goes around telling people what her son earns .Just checking your blood pressure sir btw my son earns 50k a week😀
 
I’d like to think we’ll only part part of his wages
Our Jon however will probably pay them all plus a 10k a week thank you for coming

Aribo's wages are "verified", indicated by a green checkmark. So are Soumaré's and Pereira's but Winks', Daka's and Vestergaard's are not.

I agree with you that we shouldn't treat all the data as gospel or 100% confirmed but a) in the higher leagues they are often verified, and b) they are the best indications or estimates that we have. So I would not call this "crap", especially if the data are quoted as "verified". "Close enough" would IMHO be a more accurate description.

Other organisations use Capology's data as well (e.g. analyticsfc.co.uk) and find the Premier League data to be >90% complete.
 
I can assure you that a green checkmark doesn't mean that is the player's salary NOW. and as you say Capology state:

"However, we strongly advise that all salaries presented on our website are estimates and do not represent official figures."

Notice the word ALL. They are guestimates and the sooner people stop taking them as gospel truth the better.

Other organizations do use Capology's data too - because the true data is NOT out there. Contracts are private agreements that are not open to public scrutiny.

FFP, PSR or whatever it’s called now will come back to haunt them sooner or later. If they go up they won’t have a great deal of free money to spend to try and stay there and if they don’t they’ll struggled to comply.

Since you are so sure: can you give me an example where you know for CERTAIN that a quoted and green checked salary on Capology is definitely wrong, what it TRULY is, and what your source would be for that particular example?

Yeah, of course I'm 'ignorant' because I don't believe a random bloke on the internet who does not back up his claims when asked, not even with a SINGLE example.

Look, I've given you that the capology data are not 100% true and not gospel but they are the best we have and probably not far off in general. That's certainly better than you calling them 'crap'.
