Its not even worth asking.

He'll have a relegation on his CV then.
I don’t think he will. I think we’ll scrape through. The big question then will be whether the club permits Rodgers to undertake the ‘total reset’ he keeps banging on about or asks somebody else to do it.

I sincerely hope not...he's a clusterf@#k of a manager (term used loosely).
He needs to go...fresh ideas and tactics.

I sometimes wonder if he and the club have mutually agreed a parting of the ways in the summer. A few days ago Jordan Blackwell wrote in the Mercury:

“There are two ways of looking at it. There is Rodgers’ view that the squad needs new players to freshen up the whole team and the atmosphere around the club, giving them a renewed hunger but also some keen minds to respond to his management. Or there needs to be a new manager giving the instructions, someone fresh for the current squad to learn from. Even that second option is possibly something Rodgers would agree with.”

That last sentence made me wonder whether there is a feeling in the media that Rodgers and the club might agree an amicable divorce. It could of course be just guesswork by the journalist…

I think we might pick up three next weekend.

Yellow cards maybe but nowt else.
Chelsea's win against Leeds will probably allow them to relax a bit more against us
With the morale at City, it's hardly likely to be a challenge for a team littered with top players to blow our fragile lot over.
Sorry but I just don't see anything positive about us after the last 7 days.

Potter got an unconvincing stay of execution yesterday but he remains a dead man walking. I think we will administer the coup de grâce next weekend.

Hope you are right, just can't see it though.
I brushed off Man United and Arsenal because they were 2 very tough fixtures, but this last week as got the alarm bells ringing for me.
You've got your manager coming out with comments like ' worrying ' after being outplayed on your own patch for most of the game by a championship team. Not a good sign even if his statement was correct Then we make little headway against the team that's bottom with the worst home record in the division.
That wasn't just a fixture against Southampton it was the first real test of our survival hopes.
Unless we do better against the likes of Leeds, West Ham, Bournemouth and Everton, then it's hard to see anything other than championship football next season.
That would represent a complete an utter failure from a position of strength just 18 months ago.
BR has been charge of a steady decline since we played Forest in the cup last season. That's a long period of time in management for a clubs owner not to take any action.
The financial ramifications of relegation could be disastrous for the club. People will say we need a reset. That's fine, I wouldn't argue with that, but you don't want to restart from the championship.
What do you get 1 or 2 attempts to get back, or it's probably years of oblivion.

My hope is they will maybe be more open leaving some gaps we may be able to exploit.

So you’re right we might pick up three next weekend.

Or Fofana and Chilwell will both play a blinder and nullify our weak threat up top.

I can’t help but admire your eternal optimism. It was that spirit which took me through the many relegation campaigns I’ve lived through, each time until it was mathematically impossible for us to stay up. Yet now the listless way we go about our business, the lack of fight and spirit that runs right through the team, and our inability, most of the time, to turn around losing situations, have drained all that hope out of me. The Great Escape was achieved against much longer odds than we face even now. The big difference is, I went to every game back then with a passionate belief we could do it.
