Israel out of the holiday brochures.

Excellent advice by The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office advising against all travel to Israel, as reported by the BBC.

I was thinking of going for a Mediterranean beach holiday down the coast from Tel Aviv. Now I’ll have to have a rethink.

I’ve decided to give the northern coast of Iran a try. It’s pretty easy, fly to Tehran and hire a car for the three and a half hour drive to the Caspian Sea.

It should be alright as the Beeb are only reporting against travel to Israel and by reading the reports it’s Israel getting hit by all the missiles.

I managed to get a really cheap flight leaving Heathrow on Friday.

I’m quite looking forward to it. What could possibly go wrong?

Don't come running to me if a camel stands on your foot

Given Tehran is being totally evacuated I’ve decided to give this trip a miss. The coastal areas will be packed and it wouldn’t be a relaxing holiday.

I stress it’s my decision, the BBC has not reported on any Government advice to avoid all travel to Iran.

I did consider going to Palestine as that’s probably quiet since this battle between Iran and Israel escalated however the only way in is through Israel which the Government has said is to be avoided.

As it’s such a great weekend I’ll go to Walton On The Naze instead. See if I can find Tracy Jacks.
