In our golden era....

Brauny

Golden balls
...with all that's happened, where would you rate the soon to be departed Youri Tielemans ?
Can't eclipse Vardy or Kante imo, and Mahrez provided more moments of magic than Youri has so far.
Tielemans is a quality player of which we will miss when gone. The cup final goal will live forever, in all City fans hearts.
For me he is about 4th on the list of our golden era, although there have been some stellar moments, and important contributions from others who would run him close.

Well of the ones we’ve lost in the last 6 years, only Kanté and Mahrez were massive misses IMO. Tielemans will be up there when he moves. The first 2 were 10/10’s. Youri a 9. Chilwell 6/7, Maguire mainly due to the exorbitant a 4 and Drinky a very lucky minus 3

In any era you will always find a stand out player/s in a starting Eleven we have been blessed with quite a few.from Don Revie in the 40 's to today with Teilemans.......... Vardy is unique and a absolute standout, we have not always been a team but individual players have made up for that, but when all said and done quality always moves on to better things, the odd one goes astray but in the main quite a few have lit up better teams
and progressed.

We have never had it so good and I just hope we can still progress in spite of our financial position

Thought about my dear old dad when you mentioned Revie, one of his heroes, along with Jack Lee and Mal Griffiths. I was bought up on stories of Highbury 1949 and that Cup run in general, wish he could have been here to see the last few years.

Brilliant Kendal. My Dad always stood on the Spion Kop behind the goal with his brother and a few mates, a few of them were regulars at The Railway in Glenfield village as it was then. Dad was Knighton Fields/Clarendon Park so Storks Head, New Road Inn and South Leicester working men's club on Avenue Road for him.

Kante and Mahrez world class, Tielemans a very good player
The bloke has no pace and chugs around the pitch will let him down
He tried the step up to Monaco , he flopped
If we wants to go won’t be bothered😁

No question the last ten years a golden era. Certainly compared to the previous ten years.

Vardy, Riyad, Kante, Esteban. Wilf and Youri close behind. SOP not in there because a lot of us can remember Banks and Shilton.

Walter and Jimmy Harrison both later played for Corby Town and Jimmy ended up playing for Hinckley Athletic!

Frank Soo was another Dad talked about. I got him a copy of OFAF for his 65th when it came out in 1989, don't think he put it down for a month!
