I've got what I want except with something to play the buggers on as my record player is about as old as me and as knackered as me

Doesn't matter what you like Kendal, if its something different all the better. I love this new board. I regularly play m,duck radio while reading through the posts.

Wombat, traditional jazz band he was not.
Just jumped on the bandwagon
Kendal, I meant Stranger on the Shore by Aker Bilk, classic from the 60's..... sixty years on I can still hear that clarinet wailing away and Bilk's cheesy grin for the TV camera, when I think of that song.

On Kendal's behalf, my I suggest

Artie Shaw
Benny Goodman
Billy Cotton
Tommy Dorsey
Billy Vaughan
Count Basie
Duke Ellington
Oscar Peterson
Ella Fitzgerald
Louis Armstrong
