If we were to win the FA Cup

I would happily slip away from this earth content, knowing my ex wife was cheating on me whilst I took my eldest son to watch our team play, being with my son to see us win League 1 at Southend then winning the Championship, along with beating Tranmere in the League Cup Final, to winning the Premiership, then knowing I made my youngest son Callum go to a champions league game so he had the bragging rights over his Man U & Liverpool school friends (Have u ever seen ur team play in the champions League?) So please make my dream come true Saturday and just turn up.........

Quite. It would be a regret for ever if we did not give it a go on Saturday.
Your situation reminds me of a friend who was enjoying the 2015-16 season, and only discovered what his partner was up to when he hadn't travelled for the Sunderland away game after being involved in a minor car crash just outside of Leicester; he returned home and she hadn't noticed his message to say what had happened and he discovered her and her male work colleague she had been seeing on matchdays in the spare room bed at home.....

No, it was only a single bed and his partner wasn't exactly the slimmest of females. If it had been in the marital king-size, then maybe he would have.

I'd have told her to get her clothes on and drive me up there sharpish in her car & that I'd make it up to her by leaving especially early for the pub the following weekend.
