Nothing is impossible.

7 days ago I started to get a knot in my stomach once the office emptied out in the hope we might actually battle and get something. I was like that till I got to Nigel’s pub and saw the team sheet.

Tonight I’m also going to Nigel’s but I fully expect a heavy defeat. We were woeful against them on Boxing Day. There is no knot today just questions why I’m even bothering.

But I know a couple of lads will be there and I’d rather chat through the shit than be sat on my own in the bedroom listening to the radio.
 
I've had my hopes of a genuine performance by these charlatans dashed too many times in the last two years, not to expect any difference tonight's, effort for about 10 minutes, concede, capitulation.

I’ve already given up in all honesty. In 35 years supporting Leicester I struggle to remember when I’d watch them with a glass half full mentality, maybe the O’Neill team of 99/00. The title winning team only filled me with more anxiety that we’d royally fuck it all up than anything, BR’s team in the first half of the 19/20 season played the most carefree football I can recall but we know how that ultimately played out.
I’ll be ready for the start of next season wherever we are, but this last few months has carried such inevitability that I’m amazed we’re not down already.
