After the Southampton game and more so after the Newcastle game.

I also apologise for my negativity after the Mancs stormed the pitch and their game v Liverpool was postponed.

I tried my hardest but I could see lightning striking twice especially when someone pointed out the Bournemouth game was 4 from the end as was the Newcastle game.

Last season we won the next game after Bournemouth, Sheff U and lost the last two to finish 5th. History could still repeat itself but it feels so much better right now than it did last season.

I felt strangely numb after such a tense victory. If we win the cup on Saturday I wonder if I will feel differently?

I know. It’s still a doubt but I now believe we will succeed this season where last season we failed.

I absolutely think we’ll beat Spurs with our own fans on the last day to cheer us on. I have no idea about Chelsea as there are too many variables.

after that bournemouth loss our point gap to 5th was 0 (+3 goal diff).
after the sheff utd win our point gap to 5th was 0 (+3 goal diff).

now it is 8pts best case, or 3pts worse case. stay positive, we're infinitely better placed than last year !
