For all Mahrez's mardy-arsed histrionics, I don't think he ever actually refused to show up....

Now you mention it, I think you're right. He did go AWOL, didn’t he? And then he continued to play for us for another half a season before finally buggering off. It's a shame - he's the best player I've seen in a Leicester shirt, but my memory of him will always be clouded by the fact that he was a bit of a twat.As I recall, he downed tools and went AWOL for about 10 days
Happily signed a contract until 2024.For all Mahrez's mardy-arsed histrionics, I don't think he ever actually refused to show up....

Also if I were Man City I wouldnt be impressed with him missing his pre season tests and preparations....Happily signed a contract until 2024.
Unusually I am on Levy's side here.

...unless of course it was me advising him.
More like a complete twatmy memory of him will always be clouded by the fact that he was a bit of a twat.
Of all the players we've sold since winning the league, he's the only one we haven't been able to replace. How many players have we tried in that position? Diabate, Ghezzal, Perez, Under - anybody else?!We’re still after a replacement now.
He did wish Top a happy birthday.
Puel's treatment of Mahrez was pusillanimous in the extreme. He welcomed him back and put him straight back in the team. Mahrez should have been exiled to the reserves for the rest of the season. Now you mention it, I think you're right. He did go AWOL, didn’t he?
