Well the point of my post was, there is the Ukrainian war with Korean involvement, chaos in Israel, Gaza and the surrounding areas, people being killed in Syria and riots in Georgia. Our national broadcaster leads on some bald cockney twat getting lippy with a few women years ago.

So there am I thinking the world has gone fucking mad when you post and confirm it for me.

Incidentally did any of these women think of a suitable repost? Something along the lines of fuck off you pervy old twat, anymore of your shit and I’ll get my husband to poke you in the ear.
 
We can only care about the major stories?
Have you ever looked at the percentage of women that have been sexually abused?
A lot of it starts with verbal abuse.
 
I’m not condoning his behaviour but for fuck sake it really isn’t anything to get worked up about. If it was some bloke giving a woman a bit of cheek in a pub no one would get upset and I doubt it would lead to any physical abuse unless the bloke is a total nutter

I have two daughters who have quite a large circle of friends and my wife was quite young when we married so I have some experience and can honestly say none of them ever got offended by thoughtless comments from men and that included lots of nights out in Leicester and Loughborough, maybe they’re made of sterner stuff

And back to your original reply, this isn’t just being reported it is the lead article and has been all day

While it’s depressing that there will always be blokes that exhibit idiotic behaviour towards women, it’s a small step in the right direction that they shouldn’t have to be made of ‘sterner stuff’ & tolerate it.
 
The problem is Mistryman people are increasingly offended by innocuous occurrences and worse offended on behalf of others.
 
Rhino does have a point. Hadn't seen any news coverage relating to it but I had presumed it was relating to physical offences. Whilst it is inappropriate its not exactly Al Fayed

For innocuous, read outdated or inappropriate. I don't see anyone else being offended on behalf of others, but women being empowered to speak out.

I guess there are some people that would prefer others to just 'put up & shut up', but the fact the Gregg (don't forget the extra 'g' that he gets all sensitive about if it's not there) continues to dig a hole for himself speaks volumes.
 
If just HALF the middle class white women of a certain age, were as horrified about the continued mass, industrial scale rape of white working class girls in the UK as they are about Gregg Wallace fanny jokes 20 years ago, we might have a nice country.

Well I can't speak for what you see but I believe we are getting this stuff totally out of context and doing a disservice to the genuine cases out there. There is no doubt in my mind that this man is an obnoxious cretin and to carry on the debate as you say speaks volumes about him. A simple apology was the logical course of action to my mind.

But getting back to the original point should our media be prioritising a bit tasteless, thoughtless and crass behavior over the important stuff going on in the world.
 
That’s it then,enough is enough,full stop, I won’t be buying anything from Gregg’s ever again. From now on I shall be taking my custom elsewhere. MasterChef my arse!

Not all women have the confidence to be able to do that. His defence is it's all middle class women of a certain age because he's so arrogant he doesn't even realise his behaviour has affected other women as well. The line has to be drawn somewhere. Just cut it out completely, don't try to justify it as banter, there will be those that take it further and don't take no for an answer.

I do see your point about it being all over the news but it's what happens when a 'celebrity' gets into a bit of bother.

Some sad people can't help but make everything about race.

Worked in the Hosiery for a year or so, late 70's, the women were wild, loud, piss takers with a big interest in porn mags & trainee knitters but generally a great bunch to spend 40 hours a week with. However, am I due any compo for the "good natured" dogs abuse I received?

First place I worked I was told to go into this big fridge to get something, next thing door slammed behind me and 3 40 summat women were waiting in there to womenhandle me. I was 16.!
