"GREBO! THE LOUD & LOUSY STORY OF GAYE BYKERS ON ACID AND CRAZYHEAD" 466 pages!!!

by Rich Deakin, published last year. Also about Leicester and 'Shire's bands of the time, Swinging Laurels, Bomb Party, Filberts/Diesels, etc etc etc etc. Quite a good read so far - never knew there gigs were played all over the place - in the States, USSR, Ukraine, Roumania - and still got over 400 pages to go. Here's part of a review: "Incident, anecdote and adventures pile Everest high. We relive the Bykers’ “involvement” in a spurious Satanic Rock scandal, penned for one of the UK tabloids by the young Piers Morgan; Crazyhead’s 1989 trip to the USSR; American tours...and the pace doesn’t flag for a moment. Grebo is a long book and it could have been longer."
Gotta be Roofers with stuff to tell?

I was watching a video about this time in music, but i don't remember it being called Grebo. Grebos to me were the biker lads in the 70's and early 80's, black leathers, motorbikes and long greasy hair.

Bomb Party, are they the band that had a 30 foot model cock on the stage with them? Sure I saw them in London at some point.

The Crazyhead gig at The Bill in Shilton was amazing. Don’t know if anyone else went.
