Give the job to Kingy…

Having seen his interview on the website I have seen nothing that suggests he'd be a decent manager. Whatever you think of his playing style, he completely lacks any kind of gravitas.

The mistake was made with RVN that because he was a good player, must be a good manager. Let's not make it again please

Except King wasn't exactly a good player.
It's usually the mediocre players who make the better managers.

Agreed, but he's just so dull. His interview was just full of heard it all before cliches. Within a month we'd find out and be stuck with him for the rest of the year.
Monthly rolling contract?
Basic minimum wage with incentives?

A.club legend would surely accept a "no payout" sacking clause.

We can't afford to finish 21st we need to get promoted.

We can't afford anything full stop.....

Due to the fact that the club needs to cut it's cloth they have decided that next season they'll be introducing a new bog roll membership card.
£25 for the privilege of bringing your own bog roll in.
The club is aware that it needs help dealing with all the crap.....

In the new modern age have an AI manager
Best of everything that's gone before with championship nous
Save the club a few bob

I'm not advocating Kingy but his association with the club could help he knows the place the players and he must have learnt something about sending out a team and might just might have an influence on players, the club needs some consistency
as we need it badly to keep our heads above water, fuck this talk of promotion get a settled rhythm to the club and it might produce dividends

I like King a lot, and thought he was a very decent player, but it's probably a bit early for him to take over - especially in the circimstances that we find ourselves. I think we'd be foolish to avoid people with Championship knowledge so that leads you to Wilder or Dyche realistically. Wilder plays a more expansive style and got 92 points last year after a points deduction - I think we'd take that.
