"With Leicester City due to kick-off their new Premier League campaign on Sunday 7 August against Brentford, supporters at King Power Stadium can look forward to a host of improvements to the matchday schedule.
- Supporters encouraged to arrive early on Sunday for Brentford fixture
- Singing Section to be introduced for the new campaign
- Matchday mascots return, along with Fan Cam
- Handheld flags in place of clap banners for this fixture

The reduction in restrictions around COVID-19 means that several features can be welcomed back to King Power Stadium for the 2022/23 season, as well as a number of new additions – meaning supporters are encouraged to arrive as early as possible.
The Football Club is delighted to be able to reintroduce Matchday Mascots to the new campaign after two seasons of ‘digital mascots’ due to the restrictions put in place around the pandemic, while inside the stadium, Fan Cam will return to add to the matchday fun ahead of kick-off.
Supporters may also notice the introduction of a Singing Section in SK1 at King Power Stadium for the start of the 2022/23 season, as part of a year-long trial to improve the matchday atmosphere.
The move comes after a series of other trials in cup matches over previous seasons and an extensive period of consultation with supporters to review its success and potential for long-term implementation at King Power Stadium.
Mobile Tickets will also be in operation on entry to the stadium for City fans, while there will be pre-match pyrotechnics displays and handheld flags left on the seats of every home supporter.
Fans attending games will also notice that there will be no clap banners, as the Club works with the feedback given to it by supporters during consultations to shape a move towards alternative and more sustainable ways of improving the matchday atmosphere.
Outside of the stadium, a host of activations will take place on a special stage on the brickweave, located close to the Fanstore. Supporters can try their luck on the prize wheel, as well as a host of other games in the build-up to the action on the pitch.
In addition, LCFC Chairman Khun Top is kindly providing a complimentary beer or water for all home ticket holders ahead of the game against Brentford on Sunday 7 August (2pm kick-off), which can be collected outside the stadium at dedicated collection points from 11am until 1:30pm."

And WTF is a brickweave??

“there will be no clap banners, as the Club works with the feedback given to it by supporters during consultations to shape a move towards alternative and more sustainable ways of improving the matchday atmosphere.”
