Indeed. To me it's always been a case of how quickly Cooper can get a new squad to gel but I don't think it will be an issue. They will have enough about them unfortunately.Didn't certain people on here think their one basket was Lingard?
But they've spread their investment around into far more than just one basket, and will comfortably stay up in my book, regretfully.
Promotion largely. Point is that even if our owners wanted to chuck more money at the team, they can't. In short, we both have pots but there's was considerably emptier than ours; i.e. after the last 6 years we don't have room for more piss... they have a whole fresh pot to piss in.Where have they got all this money from?
Yet we dont have a pot to piss in.
Sad to say but they will absolutely finish above us this year and i rekon they have an outside chance of finishing in a position to go into europe.
Don't forget they'll have their parachute payments if they go down plus they can just sell the players if they go down. But I think they are aiming at more than safety this season. If they go down they’ll go bankrupt at this rate. Talk about all your eggs in one basket.
You mean like the way we can sell the players we don’t want.Don't forget they'll have their parachute payments if they go down plus they can just sell the players if they go down. But I think they are aiming at more than safety this season.
It's the beginning of the end for them.
That’s exactly it. They lost 17 players from their loan-stained urinal at the end of last season. One of two of their new signings are obviously decent (starting with the goalie). Some seem more than a tad over-priced (up to £40m for Gibbs-White?). The rest could well turn out to resemble those thousands of rapid-fire Martin Allen signings we can’t even remember the names of. Only buying this lot didn’t cost ten bob. In fact, Notts have already burned through a season and a half of Sky cash in fees alone, with wages and agents fees to add on top. As Courts says, some of that cash flow will be managed. Not all of it can, though. If Notts falter, and they get relegated, either this season or next, sixy is spot on in calling it the beginning of the end.Promotion largely. Yes but most of the players forest have will be sellable players like Dennis, Toffolo etc.You mean like the way we can sell the players we don’t want.
