Fofana upset with LCFC

According to SSN, Wesley Fofana is getting upset with the club as he/agent feels that they are pricing Wesley out of his move to Chelsea.

Dorsett wouldn't risk his relationship with the club by making stuff up, he's definitely got a source for this article.
It's basically a rerun of Maguire with presumably the same outcome pending.

The only thing I can see disrupting this is if Chelsea run out of money before the deal completes...they are supposedly also sending Everton £50m for Gordon .

Regarding Chelsea, the Marcos Alonso transfer to Barcelona hasn't gone through yet I think. That's another 8 million, apparently, which they may or may not need.

Since Barca is now on course to sell the family silver, I expect this transfer to go through. It looked less likely a couple of days ago.

Don’t play the disloyal prick again put him in with the kids, in fact he’s broke his contract if he’s been talking to Chelsea So sack him for gross misconduct.

He acted the same before he joined us, typical modern footballer. With the sell on clause we will be lucky to get 55million, so do not get excited about the fee.

Dorsett didn't write it

I'm not convinced by this. I reckon it's his agent. However, if he does play Saturday, he will need to make a statement prior to the game or some will get after him, as they believe everything they read. Personally, if he plays Saturday, plays well and we get 3 points, then I'll be happy

Why should he or the club make any kind of statement, if people are incapable of filtering social media that is there problem.

I get that Hackney, but unfortunately there are hell of a lot that don't.
Lot of calls for Top to say that we aren't selling Fofana/Maddison but if he does it once then the next time there's a rumour about a player and Top doesn't shut it down then the chatter will be 'He's definiely going as Top hasn't made a statement'. That will from the media, talkshite and posters on chat pages.
Best for the club/player not to react to idle chatter.

Perhaps we could turn the tables on these bullshit generators - How about a story alleging that Mrs Thomas - the wife of Sky News 'reporter' Lyall Thomas - is looking at a transfer out of the marital home because she is becoming increasingly frustrated with his inability to satisfy her sexual desires owing to the fact he has a micro penis...

Exactly. Asking the club to respond to every daft rumour out there just to placate bed-wetting fans is just asking for trouble. Next they'll be expected to provide free therapy sessions for supporters who have been traumatised by tenuous transfer rumours...

That might be considered to be libellous, unfortunately.

There is a long piece about us in the i, describing our 'awkward' window,
having lost £120m in the last three seasons. With a pay bill of 85% of turnover, and FFP lurking, big clubs have us by the nuts.
Worth remembering BR is not responsible for financial matters but I wonder (plot alert) if the departure of the recruitment head a few months ago has any relevence...

Speak for yourself. I want to see us break our record of the longest top flight stint while I’m going to see us play, albeit not that much at the minute.

I summarised bits of our league history last April here:

I've just looked at our league season history. This is currently our eighth consecutive season in the top flight, including three titles.

The last time we had a longer (i.e. twelve year) stay in the top flight was from 1957 (!!) to 1969 (!!) (including one title). All the other top flight stints after that were shorter (7, 1, 4, 1, 6, 1 year(s)). There was only one more ten year period (1925 - 1935, no titles) in our entire league history which was longer than the current one.

I'd say that's pretty good. Edited to say that with regards to what we've won recently you could argue we're currently in our most successful period ever.
