Favourite pub in Leicester?

Go to the secret pub on sufference every fortnight but otherwise the city pubs are a no no
Syston The Gate hangs well was my bolthole until the gaffer got the bums rush silly sod had a wake for a biker lad and a Hundred turned up in the middle of the COVID nightmare the daft bugger

The Blue Boar has excellent ale and atmosphere plus it's cheese and onion cobs are legendary. Really like The Kings Arms and the Black Horse in Aylestone too.

The new
A few things left a sour taste about the secret pub. Under new management though these days isn’t it?
The new(ish) guvnor is a really nice bloke and is much more welcoming than that fat twat who used to run it.
The one that Borbage wanted to flatten.
This new guy, Paul used to run the Brickie. But he loves the secret pub more cos he can develop it on a 7 day a week basis. Whereas the Brickie only works as a decent pub on matchdays. Rest of the week its empty.

Paul a nice bloke. Good that he’s now running it. Previous gaffer was a caant.

Favourite pub ? Any that kicks kids out after 9pm, and doesn't allow dogs, with the exception of anyone who is dependent on one.
Yes I love kids and dogs, just not in pubs.

Used to be the Robin Hood, next door to where i worked or as Collibosher said The Friar Tuck over the road....nice big radiator type thing in the middle of the pub for cold days!
it used to open up on a Sunday morning at 10.00, it was the asphalter's drinking hole for a few years, proper pub. Not really a town pub though.
For the first time in over 3 years, after the last game l went out with the lads, loved it and realise how much l miss all that. I can't drink now so l clear off early, but l love the pubs and the people around them in the city centre always have always will.

Used to be the tudor, now sadly closed. Closely followed by the pump & tap, also closed & the Richard the third, the old pub not the poncy reincarnation.
Only get into town now on football days so I suppose it's the secret pub or the bowling green.
Swan & Rushes & Brickies now both closed & you cant get into the Peel if there's more then 10 people in there. Fbar ok for a swift one before the game but in no way could it be described as anyone's favourite pub.

Sixthswan - come and join the evil ‘cabal’ in the Globe pre-match (we may have already met?). Happy to buy you a pint mate 👍🦊🤠
