Everton

He's currently in Leverkusen's pre-season training camp in Salzburg/Austria, apparently. Raining cats and dogs there.
Apparently, their training pitch in Zell am See is under water. The area has experienced heavy downpour and some flooding over the last few days - I was on a train through Salzburg yesterday which was interrupted due to some tracks being flooded. It's not as bad as in the West of Germany but there are definitely problems.

More like Zell unter See then. Hope it doesn't get any worse there.

Let's hope he doesn't go by helicopter to Everton training ground to sign. 🙄
Having said that, good luck to the lad, got the skill just not consistent, I don't think he has set Germany alight since he been there unlike "bomber command" 👍

✍️ | Demarai Gray has joined from Bayer Leverkusen for an undisclosed fee after agreeing a three-year contract until the end of June 2024 with the option for a fourth year. @22demarai 🔵

How the mighty have fallen. At 1.5 million, that is about the average payment for a player in the first division now.
Or put it another way, spending 3 minutes in a space capsule looking down at earth.

It’s a no risk signing in my opinion. 1.7 million is loose change to any Prem team and they will be able to sell him for that to a second tier team if needed.

And his wages can’t be that high either.

What does surprise me is that Everton are fishing in that kind of pond for players. They should surely be aiming a lot higher than Gray.

Agreed. Like I said, totally bargain basement. Really weird.

At least this is one team we won’t be worrying about. Rafa can craft himself legendary status by convincing them they should be in a relegation zone then getting lauded for the Herculean triumph of finishing 11th.
