EMR have been waiting to launch their new Aurora trains on the St Pancras to Sheffield line for quite some time, yes, these are the ones where if you are coming from the smoke to Leicester it will be powered by electricity to Kilby Bridge then the train swaps over to diesel. The electricity is probably nicked by the residents of the Little Hill Estate. 
Well, EMR were hoping for a soft opening with one new set this week, but plans have been cancelled due to ongoing technical problems. My source tells me the toilets only flush twice then shut down, so Soho, make sure you have a piss before the train reaches Kentish Town or you've had it.
Also the present Meridian's have started to go Off Lease, so a bit of juggling may need to be done as they are going off lease quicker than Hitachi are bringing the Aurora's on lease.
