Demari Gray

Strange kid, very very rarely showed promise, when given the chance he blew it, waste of a shirt for City....

If it goes to 5 subs/game he might make the bench. I’ve started a crowd fund for a new cushion so his bum doesn’t get too cold.

Who's the mug?
Us?
Or him on 50 Grand a week for doing faack all?
Thats £2.5 million a year.
Thats £10 million over a 4 year contract.

Is that really what we pay him?

What did we sign him for, £3 mill or something pretty low wasn’t it?

Sell him for £15 mill and we’ll break even or turn a profit, worth the risk.

I have no idea. But I guess its not that wide of the mark.
Even if its 25K pw its still £5 million over 4 years.

We’ve got no chance sadly of even recouping £5m considering he’s out of contract next summer.

Is that right too LG? Oh well. A pity we didn’t accept Bournemouth’s bid a few years ago, we could all see then he wasn’t really going to make it, not at this level.

Signed in Jan 2016, so I guess it was 5-1/2 years. Or maybe he signed a new improved one after his great spell for us... ;)

Edited to add that he apparently signed an extension in Nov 2017

£55k a week he's on
£2,860,000 a year
A 4-year contract worth £11,440,000 which ends this summer.
£55k a week, four years ago for a £3m player from Birmingham? I hope we weren't paying that much.
Edit
So 1.5 years at a lower rate (hopefully) plus your £11440,000 for 10 goals in 132 league appearances.

Puel would've sanctioned that extension as one of his first decisions o_O

I'd take the salary with a pinch of salt; the same site that the £55k came from also has YT on £30k and Timmy on £50k...

Every club has deals that don't make it but those that do plus other income streams compensate if the club is savvy. It's just a hedged bet.

I agree Dags. £20m apparently . Wow. He can go for free next summer so hopefully some championship side desperate to come up or more likely a PL side desperate to stay up will cough something. But I wouldn’t put much on it being north of £5m

If you work hard in training and prove yourself to Brendan, he'll give you a shout ..... Both Mendy and the very unlucky Amartey have proved that. Gray can't be doing anything to impress .......
