On the contrary, I don't look down on anyone here.
I don't squeal if someone challenges me or disagrees with me & I don't get all flouncy & threaten to block anyone if they do. Debating & discussion is good.
Life's too short to be contrary for cheap thrills - however, if I agreed with everything or everyone on here, that would be "sheep-like" behaviour...the very thing that's frowned upon here by some.

I enjoy the Roof in all its splendour, some very witty posters and some very intelligent ones, can’t be arsed with the ones who come on to wind folks up though so my ‘ignore’ button has been used a couple of time more this morning, I too enjoyed jumping trains and over turnstiles back in the 70s/80s with the likes of Justin, Burman, Belly, Inky, My late Brother Shay and loads more of us, great days indeed and never to be seen again sadly, thought I would post a photo of the lovely clematis at the top of our garden to pass on some positive vibes to you all… xAttachments

Can you explain why you don't buy the theory that chipping in to help a fellow city fan run this site is the right thing to do, like so many other people are happy to do. After all, you seem to spend enough time free-loading on here. Do you think you're a better person for not doing so? And whilst you're at it, can you honestly say that you have never ever benefitted from anything to which you weren't strictly entitled to? Honestly?
I've never said it wasn't the right thing to do - I was refuting the accusation that I'm freeloading, yet there appear to be plenty on here that have "jibbed" train journeys, football tickets etc & claim that as some form of badge of honour, as being a formative part of their upbringing (because of course "everyone was doing it"), & you're not part of some 'gang' or you're not normal, if you didn't. I guess those people thought they were sticking it to "the man" or some higher authority.
Is one kind of freeloading better than the other? We all have different perceptions evidently.

A fair question about this site however - I seem to recall at the beginning someone (might have been Micky) highlighting at the very beginning when the switch was made from the old site to this one, that there were different levels of access on here. As I recall, paying gave you access to edit your messages, personal message anyone & possibly some other perks too - can't remember the rest.
I didn't see the need for any of those things for what I thought my usage of the board was going to be. And given the occasions when a Roofer has been particularly robust in their response, wanted to PM me to sort things out "man to man" & in-person or simply "wanted to punch (my) fucking head in" because I challenged his posts, it was probably a wise decision on my part on reflection.
Maybe I'm the only "freeloader" here, maybe I'm not. Each to their own as far as usage of this board is concerned & what they want from it.
Evidently you have ended it. You wanted to punch my fucking head in - I'm not the first, & I probably won't be the last you want to do this to here. Probably best to think & say you want to do it & get it out of your system in that way, rather than actually doing it.
The funny thing is, if we did meet in real life, we'd probably get along, as long as the subject matter was music or football.
