Probably not too hard to scale from something you already know (ie the houses) on the google satellite picture (plan)? My flat roofer estimates jobs by doing that...

Go on Google Earth zoom in and use the ruler icon - it really is quite accurate

I think I've cracked it mate, a bloke on a model tram site reckons a lot of side streets were of the same dimensions, thanks for the offer, nice one.
