Considered buckin opinion

That was buck awful
From midfield up we done enough and created enough chances but from midfield back we were shite
Okay they sat in and hit us on the break but we should have anticipated that
Of their four goals we gifted them three.
I am seriously bucked off with the defence
Accepted Evans was a loss but buck me Johnny Turk was worse than useless
The damage might not be too bad though as I expect both Chelsea and the Hammers to drop points this weekend
But this was buckin horrendous

Midfield up were gash too. Vardy is back to pub player standard, natcho is slightly better but where is the midfield creativity to give them chances?
it would help if they could string a few forward passes together, too.

Looked at times like 11 players that had never met each other being roped in for a Sunday League game.
Given the importance of the game it's right up there with some historic shockers. Couldn't recognize what we served up.

Has Wilf suddenly gone colour blind,?
We have players on the bench who could have changed the way we play .

Under and Praet for instance, and if we insist on playing 5 at the back Amartey would at least have put himself about.

One positive of playing the three central defenders is the extra height in both boxes and we were starting to perform a bit better in those areas before Evans had to withdraw last night.

Johnny Turk, as you call him, has to forget the Cruyff turn. Recently teams have sussed out he's gonna try it and are waiting for it.

Nobody did enough.
The midfield, especially 1st half didn’t string 2 passes together, not Maddison, not tielemans, not ndidi, so how is that doing enough?
The whole shower was shocking against a extremely average side.

Trouble is York he’s told to do it. Receive the ball, go sideways/ back to reset. There was an acre in front of him when he received it but that’s not the instruction.

I can't imagine the conversation ever buckin happened where Buck said " Cags it is imperative you do a Cruyff turn every time you get the buckin ball"

That's one thing that should've happened. As soon as Evans was injured and we were going to still play 3 at the back, Amartey should've played.

I thought they did put passes together at the start, but it was meaningless.
They played it like a team holding onto a lead and trying to kill time.
It was like watching one of those boring international games being played in 90 degrees heat.
The moment they did try a positive forward ball they were hopeless. For large parts of the 1st half you wouldn't have known Nacho and Vardy were on the pitch.
I question this teams mental strength, they have played some great football over the season and took plenty of plaudits nationwide, and been envied by many other clubs.
Unfortunately though like last season when it comes to the business end we have tailed off. The good performances are fewer and far between, and the real important games are becoming horror shows. I don't believe it's all because of fitness. Yes we have played a lot of games, but many of the EL games were picked with player management in mind.
Thomas, Choudhury and Unger featured regularly in those group games, and it was the same for the F.A.Cup until the later stages.
Last night when the game was lost and the pressure had been eradicated, they found their mojo again. Urgency, more determined, tackling and winning 50-50s, playing with purpose. But the game was gone. Where was that end performance ?
Had they started the game in that fashion, Newcastle would of seen we are a good side. It's happening too many times, we freeze and under perform when the crunch comes. They said they had learned from last season, we won't collapse like last time, well it's looking like a mirror image to me.
When they delve into the transfer market next time, I hope there is more emphasis on the players character as well as talent.
We don't want a team full of Maddisons who strut around the pitch in fancy coloured boots, we want winners, players you can rely on to give it everything game after game.
Don't kid yourselves that we are still in a good position. Teams like Liverpool won't make the same mistakes as us. We have put ourselves in the totally unnecessary position of needing to beat the top clubs to get CL. I will be delighted to be proven wrong, but nah I don't see it.

It was beyond inept. Think Bournemouth last season.
RP is way beyond ready and did nothing. JM nothing again. JV nothing again. TC poor. Cags shocking .
I said before this was must win and we got battered.

I’m afraid of a real cup final hammering on the way !

Come on Gerry, you know what I mean, it wasn’t about the bloody way he did it, it’s the fact his first thought was to turn back like a lot of our players do time & time again for long periods of every game, which clearly they are told to do.

SpecSavers is still open

I was thinking that as well. Straight swap would have meant less disruption
Soyuncu & Fofana evidently need guidance from Evans. Fuchs might’ve been a better option in terms of experience - whether Soyuncu would’ve been happy playing in the middle or to the right of a back 3, is another matter...

Then again perhaps Fuchs wasn’t chosen because his lack of pace would’ve been exposed...

Ifs...buts...perhaps...
