Both transfers mentioned were a reaction to short/medium absences of key players. As such they had to be experienced replacements able to settle and do the job quickly. Such players do not become available readily and are welcome (both are capped players with serious countries). The need for another central man as experienced cover was there even before the Fofana and Evans misfortunes.
Bertrand is filling a need before Justin and Thomas become ready.
The experience of both is welcome in a relatively young squad.

I saw Chongo play for Wolves. Came in as a like for like replacement for Wagstaffe, and Bingo, that Drooper Woollett fleagled him into Row Z first chance he got.

agreed we needed a centre half, but dont think vestergaard epierience is helping anyone,think we could have brought better. Bertram was always a bomb scare,sent off in our 9 0 win,Southampton Fans did not rate him at all.

had on loan last season. Fullback poss gone for a loan, no idea who though.
