Confirmed

Onwards and upwards!

Rafa would have been my preferred choice but it wasn't to be, at least for now. They have an almighty task on their hands, and I wish them all the luck they can muster!

If, and I suspect they will, Everton beat Fulham on Saturday we will kick off 4 points from safety. We might collapse in a heap and get a right royal stuffing or we may play with freedom and gay abandon and Madders will put another 10 million on his value, Tete will torture the Man City back four and Soutter half cripples Haaland before putting the heed on him. Just a thought.

I feel more confident today than yesterday. What I want from a a manager today is not what I want from a manager long term..

The appointment makes more sense than some of the options rumoured. We have a Leicester connection, a defensive specialist, and someone that will lead and on the surface was good man manager (got the best out of grealish). Whether it will be enough remains to be seen, but the best bit is the 8 game contract. They've got as much to gain as we have and I'm certain these three won't just be going through the motions.
