Was that caused by dropping so many behind the stumps?Just seen that Swindells has had to retire at 26 due to his hand injury.
There really doesn't appear to be much in the wicket at all. After some near misses for Holland who got some early movement, as per my comment yesterday all the danger is coming from the leg spinners out of the footmarks on the leg side (for the right handers). Lot of LBW shouts against Compton but their lefties are taking guard on off stump and managing to get their front leg outside the line. New ball due in the first session tomorrow, give Ahmed a go first thing but should be taken asap especially with rain due in early afternoon.Despite Richard Rae's assertion it looks to me like all the turn is all out of the footprints for Parkinson when going around the wicket, was nothing much doing for him when going over the wicket to start with or for the off spinner. Encouraging for Ahmed though.

I think we need to get the 2 extra bonus points on offer in whatever play is possible and not lose. I might be calculating it incorrectly but that would leave the damage at 4 points wouldn't it? Yes, it might be crucial in the final tally (at which point we/they could point to x, y or z) but at this stage it is not the biggest blow. For me we just need to concentrate on trying to get those 2 points and not giving Kent a glimmer. The weather is deflating me
At the halfway point County are still in a good position, but I seriously think that the weather will curtail the game.
That's disappointing seeing that Glamorgan look like having a free path to victory against Lancs

Agree (even though I still feel we have the capacity in us to collapse though much rarer). We won't lose, those 2 last wicket partnerships were extremely valuable.
I don't quite know how the scoring system works out but if we can stay 25 ahead in the table then we will be a full result ahead with 3 to play

As for points, I am pretty sure it is 16 for a win, 8 for a draw, zero for defeat. 5 batting bonus points on offer in the first innings (250, 300, 350, 400 & 450 in 110 overs) & 3 bowling (3, 6 & 9 wickets). Glamorgan would have 4 bonus points so maximum 20 on offer, if we don't win but get maximum bonus points that is 16.
