To describe the team you are managing/motivating etc as inadequate before a ball has even been kicked is just mind boggling. There’s a huge problem at the very very top that they allow the person they’ve employed to manage the team to be constantly down on the very players he coaches.

Brentford are a very good side technical very astute, they know what that net thingy is for! Their manager is excellent a very nice human being, they move the ball very quickly, too quickly for our players.
We can't compete as we didn't strengthen in the summer, we've been unfortunate with injuries, it's quite slippy pool side.
I've tried my very best being an elit coach, but the tools are blunt. It's not my fault
