He’s had a X-ray and it shown that he’s got 3-4 tiny fractures in his eye socket. Martinez was commenting on what the National team doctor said. He’s already said he’s gone to Antwerp for the operation. So fingers crossed he’ll be fine

I have kept it quiet, but these days my mornings have to be kept open to receive calls from our Richard (Chief of the Intelligence Service) who is always on my case, picking my brains about foreign strategy. Usually after that I don my white coat and do a spot of astro-physics & cosmology on conference call to NASA if they are in a bit of a fix. Can't spend too long with them though, as I have to scoff my tea before a bit of voluntary work @ George Eliot hospital, lobotomising the day's intake of chavs & scum referred by the law courts.

It's a busy old life, innit?

6 weeks according to Martinez, back for the start of next season

Apparently more serious than first thought and required 6 hours of surgery. Another 3cms higher and his career was over Doubt we’ll see him til mid season and even then there could be confidence issues methinks.
