Do you think that environmentalists forcing the banning of controlled forestry burns and systematic tree felling that were historic methods of preventing uncontrolled wildfires and failing to invest in the aging electrical infrastructure but redirecting such investment into renewables instead may have contributed to the problems they are currently facing in Los Angeles or would that be far right propaganda?

Wildfire mitigation in California is done at the private, state and federal level as that is who owns the land.
State and tribal lands have had prescribed burns to prevent wildfires, the state has a budget for this and has been doing it, as well as keeping a fund available to tackle wildfires when they occur.
Private citizens are under local ordinances to clear brush around their properties to reduce fuel. This is not an option, you have to keep your property in good shape or face legal consequences including the removal of home insurance.
The US Forestry Service manages federal land, they have halted prescribed burns as they don't have the funding because Republicans in congress won't pass proper funding bills merely 'continuations' to the federal budget. It does not have the funds to do it's required work so had to stop.
The LADWP is the public utility that provides power to the LA basin and beyond. There are issues with replacing aging infrastructure (just like the UK water companies). This isn't unique to LA, it is a problem all over the US whether a utility is public or private. Replacing infrastructure requires money which means putting up customers bills which nobody wants. Catch 22.
On top of that Southern California has had 3% of it's usual rainfall since May 2024 making the area extremely dry with a high fire risk.
If you want to blame just woke lefty bollox for all of it, don't let me stop you.
 
So it is far right propaganda after all and in reality the woke lefty democrat governor has been very successful in preventing wildfires and actually it's the fault of Republicans in Congress if there are any wildfires. Understood and well done Gavin.

Is it also the fault of Republicans in Congress that the fifth largest economy in the world is unable to provide consistent electricity supply to its residents?

Blimey I actually found that understandable and interesting to read and take in . May have learned something from school if teachers we had in bottom groups made text easy on the eyes and brain 👍👍 thanks
