Bin day

The old couple in the street who put their bin out first are on holiday.
There’s green bins out, blue bins out, someone’s even joined in with a brown bin. It’s fucking carnage!

Where cats belong.
As I have said before, I am not generally in favour of the death penalty but in the case of anyone mistreating cats, I could be easily persuaded.

Currently in full Blofeld mode, sitting on the sofa, cross siamese on my lap, shitposting on here (and elsewhere).

I’m not going to agree with putting cats in bins but on the whole they do lack loyalty.

I've just run that by my psychologist friend and she says that you have unprocessed trauma stemming from being dumped in the past. Possibly on multiple occasions.

Out of interest, or not, I have spent some sizeable amounts of money travelling the world to see cats, especially big cats in the wild. I have seen a lot, some obvious, some not, freezing my ass off in a hide about 20 or so miles from Granada to catch the briefest look at a Lynx ranks high, black panthers in Central America, all a big thing for me.

You have to catch the cat in that rare window of opportunity, when they're an entertaining playful kitten.. and not a cranky money sponge that hates you and rest of the world. It's a spiritual journey every cat takes.

Sorry sabredunce but you have no idea.

Mrs AFC likes the occasional post prandial TV drama of an evening, I sit with her to watch but mostly my mind is elsewhere, during this evenings 'entertainment' I watched with our magnificent 16 year old cross siamese curled up on my lap, nothing else bar a glass of Australian Sauvignon Blanc.

At her age she is a cantankerous bag of bones, but listening, at bed time, to her and Mrs AFC in the bedroom discussing the events of the day is one of the delights of any day. Happening right now!

Sorry AFC.

The bourgeois liberal, Jewish, feline media will never get to me again. We did once fall for the media lies about an energetic, friendly companion. They do feign interest in bits of string, toy mice and other marvels of mankind but the results are always the same. Once they abandon 'cat deception' and embrace 'lets be an asshole to my owners', it's all downhill. They shower you with gifts like 'cat piss' in the location of 'wherever there's a carpet'.

Crazy cat ladies don't collect cats because they love them, they do it because they think eventually they're going to get a good cat. And it never happens.

Morning.

You seen like a decent sort but are clearly deluded.

I shall arrange for you to undergo 're-education', best if you pack a suitcase and keep it by the door.

Dogs have owners

Cats have staff

Get over it
And that is a problem? Why?

Just home after a 3 hour boozy lunch, our 16 year old cross siamese waited for us to get home, then did a poo and a pee and yelled at Mrs AFC to clear it up. Perfectly normal, it is how it works with us.

Time for a bit of a lie down, 3 in a bed. Up and out later, live band at the 'Nellie' on the Quay from 21.30. Looking forward to it.

I refer you to my earlier post.

Lady Winwood's Maggot?

We got our latest Llama from the "rescue". Perfectly house trained and only urinates when it rains anyway. Ideal for getting the picnic basket and beer cooler to the top of Beacon Hill without too much trouble. They are very loyal and can learn simple tasks after just a few repetitions. Rather than ending up dumped in a bin ours is happy to put our bin out for us every Tuesday morning. The wool is quite soft and has provided us with a lovely, cosy hearth rug. Whenever I play the piano of an evening the Llama is quite happy to hum along. One word of caution, never bottle feed a Llama,as they become 'over socialised' and tend to spit at you. Other than that we love ours for all the world!

Lady Winwood's Maggot?
Indeed, just got back in.

We caught a bit of their show pre covid and rather enjoyed it, tonight was probably the best turnout in the Nellie post covid. Band very good in parts, less so in others, enjoyable overall. Some of the thrashy, up tempo numbers would have put my heart rate through the roof but fuck it, it's worth it. Chatting to some blonde at the bar, reckoned shy did some gigs with 'Pans People' back in the day, still scrubs up pretty well for an older bird.

Seafood festival tomorrow, (on the Quay) not really my thing but I'll give it a go, more live bands and stuff.

This retirement lark can be hard work.

Now 2:00 am, Mrs AfC trying to cajole Lucy (the cross siamese) into bed, I am in the doghouse, possibly from chatting up unsuitable blondes at the bar, I didn't think she noticed but perhaps did.

Going to try and join them wish me luck... ;)
