Yes, thank you, I'm fully aware of that. Who cares what the reasons are? It means fewer people coming here taking our jobs, using our NHS etc. Isn't this what people want?As the ONS makes clear, the fall was driven by 1- A decrease in immigration following visa changes introduced by the *last* government, and 2- An increase in emigration due mainly to the return of students who had arrived after Covid.
