Biden

I have to say I am amazed how easily the right wing UK commentariat have been triggered by Biden and the Irish as a whole this week.

Highlighted a significant crack in their bravado, and heir of self entitlement.

So so weak and fragile.

Go Joe.

Up until Clinton, the USA had a hands off approach to the Irish question so as not to be seen to take sides, despite the vast amount of fundraising done on the East Coast by irish-americans for the IRA.
He changed that by giving Adams a visa to visit the USA and shaking his hand.
Ever since then the right wing uk press have been very wary of US leaders sticking their nose in because they're terrified of unification for some reason.
Biden calling the DUP's bluff and asking for the Stormont power sharing to restart is a good beginning.

Why? what's the point?
We don't care to invade france these days even though we did a lot in the past, we just let the French run their own country, why not do the same for ireland??
I’d love us to invade somewhere. Like proper invade like we used to. Maybe a bit of France would be best.
