Best decade for music

Leaving all the dross and novelty records aside, which do you reckon was the best decade for popular music?
I reckon it’s a toss up between the 60s, 70s and 80s. Maybe the 70s shade it?

Being a awkward sod I'd say about 75-85, but then I suppose most people will pick a era when they were young and didn't have a care in the world
