BBC Shutdown

Don't have a problem with them giving all programmes on one channel over to his death but it's both 1 & 2, and 4 suspended.
We still in the 1950s?
My tv, via Freeview, is able to show around 109 channels and is not restricted to four

I remember how absolutely gobsmacked I was that the Coventry v Newcastle game was called off owing to Diana's fatal crash that morning way back when. Couldn't relate to the wholesale grief and enforced mourning then and I certainly don't now.

Probably, I just don't relate to the whole royal family thing, To me they should be gradually phased out, no compulsory redundancies just reduced with natural wastage.

Despite what I have said elsewhere tonight, I am no great fan of the Royal Family.

The one thing that I do know, for sure, is that I do not want another layer of sponging politicians stealing a living off the people of this country.

Strange that it is the word republican that always crops up rather than democrat, or did I miss the vote?

Not sure that every person who agrees with having a Royal Family wants to see the BBC go to this extent.
It's not Roundheads vs Royalists.
You don't need to ask.

I am not against the Royal Family, but neither am I obsessed with them.
Nobody forced me to watch the BBC tonight, and I didn't.
The reason why I asked is because I detect a level of cynicism on a day when imo it wouldn't hurt to be respectful.
