I love you Borebage. It creased me up that did. Thanks mate. The BBC Lady reporter’s orgasm was louder than the blast off!
Why should we spend resources saving this planet when the Muzzies wants to take it back to the stone age?All the hoorah on this topic, I don't really give a damn. So much we could be doing to help our own planet yet we waste so much money and effort on a publicity stunt. Considering the technological advances since 1965/1969, the advance in space exploration is a joke.
There's plenty of wealth in the world, it just gets funnelled to those who already have it, I would much prefer space exploration to wars. Can't see it happing sadly. All the hoorah on this topic, I don't really give a damn. So much we could be doing to help our own planet yet we waste so much money and effort on a publicity stunt. Brilliantly put Brauny.People will seek to climb mountains, explore caves, dive the seas and oceans, fly aeroplanes, sky dive and look for adventures. People have always wanted to explore for as long as mans been on the planet. Space to me is something that's captured my mind .I don't give a monkeys about the politics of it, or whether the Yanks want to beat the Chinese or Russians on Luna exploration. I doubt the astronauts are in it for that either.
I have always had an interest in space since I was a young kid watching the Saturn V blasting off from Cape Canaveral.
I find many stats fascinating about the planets, the stars, galaxies, black holes and reading about incredible facts about the universe.
I doubt I'm on my own with having that interest.
I personally think for those that actually have made the trip even to Earth orbit it would be an incredible experience. Life changing and something they will never forget.
The fact that only 27 people have ever left the Earths orbit and nobody has done it for over 53 years makes this current mission awe inspiring for those that have a genuine interest .
For those like you that are not interested, don't watch it if it's not your cup of tea.
If watching a dvd of Keir Starmer's greatest speeches floats your boat and your passion is helping save our planet that's fine.
Mine is space and I will never find it boring.
Fast forward to today and astronauts are desperately trying to make bog rolls out of a space ship!Brilliantly put Brauny.
I can remember fondly as a kid in infant school in the early 70's, making space ships out of bog rolls and cornflakes boxes.
The passion and wonder never goes away, maybe I've done too much acid in the past, but feel some sorrow for those who don't dream.
ETA?So who's staying up tonight to watch the splashdown?
Let's hope all goes well.
