Earlier this week Johnson clearly said that the drop in cases was because of the lockdown rather than the vaccine.

More lies preparing the ground for more restrictions/lockdown. Why else would he say it?

Vaccines don't prevent infection. They reduce the impact of infection.

So it would be a lockdown that would reduce infections.

Possibly, though of course I have my own views on that.

Given that the authorities can pretty much make up 'infection' numbers at will, I remain deeply sceptical. It is preparing to institute more restrictions which will be imposed in the Autumn as soon as a significant number of people get the sniffles.
