Both clubs have condemned the vile abuse that the players involved have received on twitter since yesterday's incident.
Perhaps if the media didn't insist on referring to the incident as a headbutt and players were not encouraged to fling themselves to the floor at the merest touch this wouldn't be happening. How can scything challenges be given a yellow card at the discretion of the official yet any touching of heads is automatically a red. Absolutely bizarre to me.
