Alan Lancaster RIP

Will never forget seeing Quo at Croft club around 1972, brilliant night, hair everywhere RIP Alan.
When Quo ditched the pop bull shit and had to reinvent themselves they would play anywhere they could, large or small venues so not surprised they played Croft. Even when they were a big venue playing band they would still play the odd small venue...saw them at Northampton Cricket club at the time they released the HELLO album 1974 I think, The place had a stage one end and a bar the other, all standing held about 200 people, no tickets pay at the door. They were in the middle of a British tour at the time and were honouring a promise to play there after a cancelled gig sometime previously. Never got above themselves Quo.
Rip Alan.

Very sad news. Quo were the first band I ever saw live, at Newcastle City Hall in 1973. Saw them at least twice more. They were bloody brilliant back then. RIP Alan, and thanks for the memories.
