Ahmed musa

Nigeria were 4-1 at HT over Sierra Leone.

Just after the hour mark, Iheanacho came on for Musa (captain).

Nigeria end up drawing 4-4.

Just a two year contract suggests they probably didn't pay us the rumoured £12-15m then...

He was a World Cup (ahem) 'scoring machine' at the time, which I suspect under-pinned the claims / hopes that we recouped the majority of his fee from the Saudis.
Transfermarkt had him leaving for £13.5m, but then they currently have him as the most valuable free agent in the world. I think I'd rather have Jack Hobbs back...

We didn't play him in his natural position as a front line striker. Because Vardy has been so good no other strikers have got a look in. We shoved Musa out wide. This has been our problem with strikers for seasons. We buy them then don't play them in the proper position because of the form of Vardy.

yep, the reason he played in saudi and now without a club is because leicester played him out of position. nowt to do with his ability.

But that's the point because he wasn't playing in his natural position. It would be the same with Vardy if you played him on the wing he wouldn't be effective. I'm just saying we can't judge these players correctly if we aren't playing them in there natural position.

well, you're proving the point daz. if a player is good enough then he'll be a success. if he's crap, he's crap.

Jackie Sinclair, although he was a whole lot more than a winger really. 1965-68,103 appearances,50 goals. His solitary Scotland cap came while he was at Leicester in a friendly against Portugal!
