Noel Gallagher

His old Oasis stuff, his newer High Flying Birds stuff, or both?

I will say he’s looking a lot older than the last time I really took notice of him.

The Masterplan is a masterpiece album.
Some people knock Oasis, but compared to the other drivel at the time - they were great.
Especially the more introspective tunes, rather than the anthem stuff.

That same logic is used in regards to Nirvana and I never got it. All they did was tip the scales forward from shitty 80's music to shitty 90's music. I'm no hair-metal apologist, but we're supposed to be grateful?

I guess I just love 60s music.
So I was grateful for the Oasis (Beatles), Blur (Kinks) and Stone Roses (Byrds) tribute bands.
Didn't care that much for Nirvana.

See now, I’m all in with that shitty 90’s music as you call it. The emergence from pop to proper music again.

Yes, who doesn't appreciate when chimp-face Ian Brown decided that electronic reggae was the wave of the future
And didn't John Squire make an album based on his favourite paintings?

Well God sure took his time making one of the worst follow-up albums of all time, opening the door for Oasis is a good case for atheism.
