Jemmy Maddison

GTIF

Roofer
Loads of TBT's saying he is offski.
For what it's worth if we get the £55m plus players I wouldn't mind.
He is definitely not irreplaceable.
Put it this way if we are going to sell a player this window I would prefer it be him rather than Barnes, Fofana or Youri.
Yes Jemmy has talent, and at times he looks really good, but there is something that is holding him back from being as good as he buckin thinks he is.
The injury kind of bucked his season up but for me even before that he didn't want to be a player in the team he wanted to be THE player in a team and he was never quite that.
He won't be any more of a loss than Maguire or Chilwell and we done fine without those buckers

so who will replace him?

Any names?

As mentioned in a previous thread I think he is the hardest player to replace - creative midfielders are few and far between and the pool shrinks even further when trying to find one of these players who we could afford and who would come to Leicester

hopefully I'm being overly pessimistic

Rumours of Reiss from arsenal - ( a RW that Rogers wants ) + £50m

Would have pereira from the Albion in a heartbeat

Maddison going nowhere, nor is Perez, only people going is Choudhury and Praet cause he wants more game time, can't understand why we didn't use him more last season?

There are lots of TBTs saying that Arsenal are interested in him. This is not surprising: he’s exactly the kind of player they’d go for and they tried to sign him last summer. But there’s a big difference between a club expressing an interest in one of our players and them actually having the funds to acquire that player. Personally I suspect that Arsenal don’t have the money to buy Maddison from us, but let’s see.

Smith Rowe has signed a long term contract and been given the No 10 shirt.
Who will they link Maddison to next?

I would keep him see what he is like this season, if he's injury hit like last season then consider a sale, don't forget this was warm up match against Burton for us, don't get physical, Burton were physical also had trialists wanting to earn a contract.

Would have to be a huge cash adjustment.
Like others, I would prefer we keep him, ensure that he is part of a great squad and it's onwards and upwards.

IMHO Maddison is the most naturally gifted player at the club and we would be crazy to sell him unless he is hell bent on leaving, as Mahrez was. Ok, he has some personality flaws and his attitude in the latter part of last season left something to be desired but I would trust Rodgers to have the man management skills to iron all that out.
